About me
Hello, and welcome! My name is Judith.
If you are reading this you may be looking for someone who can support you with something you are going through. It's important to find someone who feels right for you, so I will tell you a little about who I am and what I offer. Send me a message if you'd like to find out more.
I am a qualified, integrative, humanistic Counsellor and Shamanic Practitioner. I am also an experienced Speech and Language Therapist. I have worked with people in various professional therapeutic roles for more than fifteen years, including in the NHS, the education sector and counselling and psychotherapeutic charities. My professional and life experience, qualifications and training enable me to relate to people on a deep level, and to use and integrate different approaches to support clients.
I believe we are more than our mind, our thoughts, feelings and body; we have a soul. What our soul needs is not always clear to us, or it may feel frightening and it may not seem to align with the life we are living. I have been there; I have been on this journey too. And I feel passionate about this work; I want to help people who struggle to be in this world. It is my belief that our soul knows what we need and that we have the capacity as human beings to grow and to create a new story for ourselves if that is what we choose. It would be a privilege to work with you to help you navigate what you are going through, and to support you to create a life that is meaningful for you.
I have experience working with a broad range of issues, including depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, self-worth, change, loss and grief, relationship difficulties, neurodivergence, identity, LGBTQ, and life transitions. I have extensive experience of working with neurodivergent people, and in particular Autism, ADHD, AuDHD, and people who stammer.
I take my own personal and professional growth and development seriously and I undertake regular continous professional development and clinical supervision. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I work within their ethical framework. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), and am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) ensuring I comply with data protection requirements.
Our work together can be long term or short term. I am happy to respond to any questions you may have by email or on the phone and to have a free conversation to see if you want to work with me.
